The number one priority of The Project Space is to become the home of creative facilitation, diversity projects + community arts actions in Apollo Bay + The Otways. The Project Space is the HQ for creative development skills, exhibitions, workshops, and events encouraging the cultural and economic growth of Apollo Bay by providing facilities, studio spaces, and expertise to aid creative upskilling and offering a nurturing mentorship space to educate, grow community, collaborate and showcase local talent. Members are invited to skillshare by facilitating and curating community projects and workshops through this space as well as utilizing local resources and creating a richer cultural life for the community.

Announcement

Dear friends and followers,
it is with mixed emotions that we announce the closing of our beloved Floreo Creative Project Space VENUE.

While this chapter is coming to an end, we are thrilled to share with you our exciting new EVOLUTION! We are rolling into a roving art / coffee / food / vibes truck project, bringing our enormous passion for creativity and community to the streets of Apollo Bay and The Otways. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the spirit of innovation will now travel with us wherever we go. Stay tuned for updates on our journey and join us as we embark on this new chapter together.

Our Last day of business at our current venue will be 31st March 2024 and we hope that you will drop by and show us lots of support until then so we can continue our adventure after this venue closes! We also have a few days of celebration and community coming up so make sure to mark them in your calendars

March 30 - Salty Session / Venue closing party

I am overwhelmed with gratitude as I reflect on the incredible journey that has led me to this moment. The unwavering support, encouragement, and kindness that my mentors, friends, family, and loyal supporters have shown me, has been the pillars of my success. From the late nights filled with brainstorming to the moments of doubt turned into triumph, your belief in me has been a guiding light.

Over the next 12 months The Project Space (RE)Emerge Women’s Artist residency program offers Women, Non-binary and trans, emerging and re-emerging artists a place to exhibit new works, a free studio space to work, and a creative and nurturing environment. Creativity is the lifeblood of any community and The Project Space hopes to facilitate the creative growth of new artists. Exhibition openings are on the first Friday of every month at 6 pm and are available for viewing until the end of that month. Artists are invited to have a weekly open Studio to inspire and enrich local creative skills. Everyone is welcome, so come and join us and explore new creativity. Find out more…
